FAQ’s

This is a cosmetic procedure that involves tattooing pigments onto the upper layer of your skin. This gives you a subtle, natural-looking makeup that enhances your facial features. Depending on the type of procedure you're getting and the colour, the tattooed pigment will typically last for about 3-5 years. In order to keep the color vibrant, touch-ups (color boosts) should be scheduled regularly.
Aside from helping you spend less time doing your daily makeup routine, getting any permanent cosmetic tattooing service can help you achieve a more polished and put-together look. If you have allergies or sensitivities to makeup, this can also be the solution for you as it eliminates the need to wear any topical products on your skin.
As with any type of tattooing or piercing procedure, there is always a risk of infection and other potential side effects. This may include swelling, bruising, and scabbing. These side effects are usually temporary and will resolve on their own within a week or two. In rare cases, more serious side effects such as allergic reactions, keloid formation, and permanent scarring can occur. So, before getting any permanent makeup service, it is important to do your research and consult with a reputable professional to ensure that you are a good candidate for skin revision services.
Any discomfort you may feel during the procedure depends on your pain tolerance and the area being treated. However, most clients report feeling only a slight scratching or stinging sensation during the treatment. A topical numbing cream will be applied prior to beginning the procedure to help minimize any discomfort. Secondary numbing will be reapplied if you feel any additional pain during any moment in the entire process to ensure you have a great experience and feel comfortable.
After any cosmetic tattooing procedure, it is important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your artist. This will help to ensure that your skin heals properly and that the pigment lasts for as long as possible. Although all skin types are different, in general, you should avoid sun exposure for at least 1 month, keep the area clean and hydrated, and use only non-irritating skincare products. You should also avoid picking or scratching at the area as this can cause permanent damage.
As a rule of thumb, you should avoid washing your face with hot water after a cosmetic procedure to allow the pigment to set and to avoid infection. If you do get the area wet, simply pat it dry with a clean towel and avoid scrubbing or rubbing the area.
To ensure the pigments last longer, it is important to always keep the tattooed area clean and moisturized. You should also be careful with sun exposure—keep it minimal and use sunscreen. If you notice the pigment beginning to fade, you can always book a touch-up appointment with your artist to refresh the color.
Touch-ups help to keep the pigment looking fresh and should be done a month after the initial procedure. After that, most people will need a touch-up every 1 or 2 years to maintain the results. The frequency of touch-ups will depend on the area treated, your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you take care of your skin.
